My client a well established Asbestos removal company are currently seeking a compliance auditor to join their well-established team.
To aid a structured Management approach to Health and Safety Compliance.
Audit external project site
Method plans and risk assessments
Produce and ensure that all sites are all in full compliance with EAS and HSE standards
This position would suit a Senior Analyst, Surveyor or Site Manager who are looking to break into management. Further training will be provided on the use of i auditor and general Health & Safety
Manage and monitor company compliance aims, for example personal air testing, external audits and general compliance functions.
To ensure personal and company awareness of current Health and Safety, and wider Compliance issues (including Regulations, ACOPS, guidance etc)
Make recommendations to the Director of Health and Safety and/or the Board of Directors, with the aim of continual improvement in the overall EAS safety culture.
Liaise with all staff, helping to ensure continuing professional development with practical audits and statistical data.
To interact with staff at all levels, from training sessions to ensure continuing professional development, Audits to ensure any shortfalls are identified and corrected, and recommendations to the Safety Director regarding Health, Safety or Compliance issues.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, and systems by means of external audits on key compliance data audit to ensure:
Existence and awareness of a suitable and relevant health and safety policy.
A safe workplace without risk to health.
Safe plant and machinery, and safe movement, storage and use of articles and substances.
Adequate provision of first-aid and welfare facilities and support.
Provision of suitable and current information and supervision concerning health and safety policies and practices.
Proper and timely assessment of risks to health and safety, and implementation of measures and arrangements identified as necessary from the assessments.
Qualifications, Professional Bodies & Skills that are desirable
IOSH Managing Safely
P402,3 ,4 and 5 level of knowledge required ARCA Licensed Contract Manager Course Membership of IOSH (Minimum Tech:IOSH)
Industry experience of asbestos removal legislation and procedures. Excellent communication, presentation and research skills.
